3rd Open Call Statistics

Category : News

Our recent Open Call providing up to EUR50K for IoT experiments attracted significant interest; here is an initial outline of the statistics, we will announce the actual winners in the near future.

We received in total 30 proposals for Experiments in the two categories:
• 21 proposals were submitted in the category “Innovation”
• 9 proposals were submitted in the category “Scientific Excellence”
Among the proposers, 9 are universities and research institutes, 15 are SMEs and 6 are Large Industries.

The proposals originated from the following 9 countries (in no particular order): France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Portugal, UK, Switzerland, and Cyprus.

After a thorough review process by external independent reviewers, it was found that the quality of most proposals was very good. Due to the number of good proposals in the Innovation category and the strict project schedule, an extension of the budget for this call was decided, shifting budget from the 4th open call, so that two more proposals can be accepted. Thus, in total 14 proposals from 8 countries were accepted in this call: 10 in the innovation category and 4 in the Scientific Excellence category.

The FIESTA-IoT project thanks all proposers for their efforts. We congratulate the accepted proposers that have been selected for funding!
